ANSI/BIFMA X5.1-2002

American National Standard for Office Furnishings-General Purpose Office Chairs. The standards are intended to provide manufacturers, specifiers, and users with a common basis for evaluating safety, durability, and the structural adequacy of the specifies furniture, independent of construction materials. Tests includes: Scope, Definitions, General Sections and Tests for: Back Pull, Unit Bases, Swivel Cycling , Tilt Mechanisms, Seating Impact , Front and Rear Stability, Arm Strength, Back Durability, Caster/Chair Base Durability and Tablet Arm Tests.
DIN ISO 9001 The goal of ISO 9001:2000 is the constant improvement of the QM system, and thus of the products and services, in order to increase customer satisfaction, give greater orientation to the corporate processes, and designing the QM system on the basis of fixed management principles.
DIN ISO 14001 The ISO 14001 environmental management standards exist to help organizations minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment (i.e. cause adverse changes to air, water, or land); comply  with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and continually improve the above.
Interstuhl is the very first manufacturer in the industry to have received the new, official "Premium Product Award" from the LGA and TUV Rheinland Group for  our products. This award makes improvements for dealers and our end customers. The LGA Premium award documents the high quality of the interstuhl products and services. This LGA award is a commendation and incentive not only for us, but also for our partners, as products quality will be emphasized as a major sales argument.
  The certificate "LGA Schadstoffgeprueft" designates furniture which are emission and pollutant-examined . All Interstuhl products are tested for contaminants, and comply with all the requirements.
  The GS Safety test certificate ("examined security") developed since its introduction in 1977 to a safety standard recognized world wide. The basis for the GS approved product is the equipment  and product safety law. All Interstuhl products comply with the current European safety regulations.
  All Interstuhl products are ergonomically tested according to the Furniture test institute LGA in Nurnberg, Germany
The Eco-Management and Audit Schem (EMAS) is the European voluntary instrument which acknowledges organizations that continually improve their environmental performance. EMAS registered organizations are legally compliant, run an environmental management system and report on their environmental performance through the publication of an independently verified environmental statement. They are recognized by the EMAS logo, which guarantees the reliability of the information provided.
